Clint Murchison, Jr.

In 1972, Clint Murchison, Jr., was the owner of the Dallas Cowboys. His donation to Pepperdine got his name on the Murchison Science Center, one of the major academic buildings on the Malibu campus. Following Murchison's death in 1987, the building was renamed for alumnus Leon Rockwell.1
A member of the university board, he was named to the board of regents in 1976.2
Murchison made his money in the oil business. He received an honorary doctorate from Pepperdine in 1964.3
